Instructions

    Preheat oven to 170°C. Spread 200 g hazelnuts on baking sheet and roast 8-10 min until golden. Cool, rub off skins in clean tea towel.

    Blend hazelnuts 5-8 min to smooth paste (be patient!). Scrape down sides as needed.

    Soak dates 5 min in hot water, drain. Add to blender with 4 tbsp cacao, broken 30 g chocolate and 100 ml water.

    Blend 2-3 min to creamy spread. Add 1-2 tbsp extra water if needed for smoother texture.

    Spoon into glass jar. Store chilled (1-2 weeks shelf life).

How to use & Store

This healthy spread is delicious on a whole-wheat cracker, in your oatmeal, or as a dip for apple slices. Store the spread in a glass jar at room temperature to keep it creamy. It stays fresh for up to 2 weeks if you use a clean spoon!
