Bereidingswijze

  1. 1

Cook the brown rice according to the package instructions.

  2. 2

Steam or boil the broccoli until tender-crisp.

  3. 3

In a bowl, mix the chicken mince with the egg, oats, garlic powder, ginger powder, salt, and pepper.

  4. 4

    Shape into small meatballs.

  5. 5

Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat and cook the meatballs for 8–10 minutes, turning regularly, until golden and cooked through.

  6. 6

In the same pan, add soy sauce, honey, and water. Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.

  7. 7

Add the meatballs back into the pan and toss until coated in the sticky glaze.

  8. 8

Serve with rice and broccoli, then top with sesame seeds and spring onions.

Why these sticky chicken meatballs are a healthy choice

While many 'sticky' sauces are loaded with refined sugars, this version is specifically developed to stay sugar-free and unprocessed. Ground chicken is an excellent source of lean protein, which is vital for muscle repair after a Pilates session. Paired with steamed broccoli, this meal provides a massive boost of Vitamin C and fiber, supporting your immune system and keeping you full for longer.

Variations & Storage

Try swapping white rice for cauliflower rice for an extra low-carb meal. Want some heat? Add extra chili flakes or fresh ginger to the sauce. This dish is ideal for meal prep; you can store the meatballs for up to 3 days in an airtight container in the fridge.
